Horse shoe Bat (virus was first isolated from them also for gene sequencing Natural reservoir host. Began from Bats
Intermediate Host:
Masked palm civets (Paguma Carvata), 99% nucleotide homology with human SARS – HCoV virus

2nd Host:
It is Believed that it was evolved from animal corona-virus that crossed species barrier to human and larger vertebrates – Jumped to humans by civet cats.

Person to person contact
Body Fluids
Fecal & oral contamination.
Respiratory / Aerosole droplets.
Close contact with infected areas.
⇒Peak of incidence is in winter & Spring.
